We’re pleased to announce our recent gift-matching campaign raised $4,600 to support wildfire relief efforts in the greater Los Angeles area. Thanks to the generous support of Urban Science employees across our office locations, we were able to amplify our collective impact by matching donations to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation Wildfire Emergency Fund and the American Red Cross. Every dollar contributed by employees was matched by our organization, doubling the power of each donation. 

These contributions have made – and will continue to make – a difference in supporting those affected by the fires. We’ split the matched funds equally between the two organizations, with each receiving more than $1,100. We also matched gifts retroactively, so donations made by Urban Scientists before the campaign launched also count toward our total. Our corporate gifts will support critical recovery efforts, assist those impacted by the wildfires and provide resources to first responders working on the frontlines of recovery. 

At Urban Science, we have a longstanding tradition of supporting our communities, especially in times of crisis. This campaign embodies our #WorkAsOne and #InventTheFuture values and highlights our team’s relentless dedication to helping those in need.  

We’re humbled and grateful to play even a small role in these efforts and to continue working toward making our communities better places to live, work and visit.
